$18 million earned from tourists to Angkor resort within ten months

During the first ten months this year, nearly 400,000 foreign tourists visited Angkor resort, with more than $18 million income generated.

Both the number of tourists and the income fell by about 78 percent compared to the same period last year, the Angkor Institute said in a statement yesterday.

More than $ 790,000 out of the income was donated to Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital Foundation, it said.

Last month alone, more than 2,000 foreign tourists bought tickets to visit the Angkor resort, with more than $ 93,000 income generated, said the statement.
